United States Army, Vietnam War, Veteran, Danny Lee Stevens, 64 years, 11 months and 29 days of age, a lifelong resident of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, January 27th, 2009 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. 3/7/1952 - 12/26/2018 Sparta Daniel John Stevens age 66 passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Danny was of the Church of God faith and he enjoyed playing golf, sports, hunting, fishing, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was currently serving on the Rowan Water Board of Directors and was a member of the Golden Ark Masonic Lodge in Wyandotte, Michigan. He previously served on the City Council in River Rouge, Michigan and for several years he served on the Board of Trustees at the Clearfield Tabernacle. He enjoyed participating in community activities in the town he lived in Michigan. He had also coached Tener League Baseball in River Rouge.
Danny retired from National Steel in River Rouge after 32 years. He was a union representative and set on the Safety Commission for National Steel. After retiring in Michigan and moving to Morehead, he worked for the Rowan County Sheriff's Office as a Court Security Officer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Stevens.
